Tourist Development Council Grants

Funding for the period October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023

This Tourist Development Council funding program is administered by the St. Johns Cultural Council pursuant to an agreement with the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners. The intent of the ACH Grant Program is to increase the positive economic impacts of local tourism by encouraging exemplary arts, culture and heritage programming and supporting enhanced advertising and promotion of these quality tourism opportunities.

Grant Workshops and Grantwriting Support

Every applicant must attend a grant workshop before submitting an application.

This year’s workshops were held at The Waterworks, 184 San Marco Avenue, on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, April 19th at 10 AM
  • Wednesday, April 20th at 3 PM
  • Monday, April 25th at 1 PM

Individual appointments for additional assistance with grants were available for applicants who attended a grant workshop beginning May 1, 2022. 

​​Technical Review

Cultural Council staff reviews each application to ensure compliance with Grant Guidelines. Technical review was completed June 30, 2022. 

Grant Review, Scoring and Funding Recommendations

Applications are scored by a Grant Review Panel during a public meeting at the St. Johns County Administration Building at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine Florida.  Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the meeting in person and will have an opportunity to provide a brief update and answer panelist questions. 

The Grant Review Panel meeting was held on July 26, 2022, at 9 a.m. Funding recommendations will be presented to the TDC on August 15.  Grant recommendations are approved as part of the Board of County Commissioners’ annual budget process.
