On the eve of Donald Trump’s Inauguration, The Hill newspaper reported that Trump Transition Team staff intend to recommend that the President-elect eliminate the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities as well as privatize the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
St Johns Cultural Council will host another in a series of Technical Assistance workshops on Sponsorship Development for the arts culture and heritage industry in St Johns County. The workshop conducted by Mix It Marketing from Atlanta is free and open to the public.

The St. Johns Tourist Development Council and the St Johns Cultural Council in St Augustine Florida seek individuals interested in serving on the Arts Culture and Heritage Grant Funding Panel. Non-resident Panel Members are reimbursed for travel expenses.

Nearly 300 musicians will perform at 19 venues during the Sing Out Loud Festival, which will span three weekends in late August and early September. It will be the largest free music festival ever to be held in St. Johns County, which includes the greater St. Augustine area on Northeast Florida’s coast.
The St. Johns Cultural Council is seeking nominations for the Dr. Gail Pflaster ROWITA Awards (Recognizing Outstanding Women in the Arts.)
Community members are encouraged to submit nominations of women who have made significant contributions to the arts community in St. Johns County over the course of their lifetime. The ROWITA Recognition Ceremony takes place during Women’s History Month each March.

United Way of St. Johns County is pleased to partner with the St. Johns Cultural Council for an inspirational exhibit of photographs showcasing the work of nearly 30 non-profit organizations serving residents in St. Johns County. The dramatic images graphically depict a range of services from disaster relief to the smiling faces of children at play. This exhibit will run from August 2- October 20, in the Rotunda Gallery in the St. Johns County Administration Building located at 500 San Sebastian View.
