Due to the 22-year old relationship between Arts & Culture, Tourism and the TDC’s Category 2 Arts Funding program, the SJCC will now be sharing what’s happening with current and future planning of the St. Johns County Tourist Development Council. Each month, you can listen to audio recording of the public meeting at a time that is convenient for you. We’ll share what was discussed and decided on at each month’s TDC meeting based on the meeting agenda. Simply look for the area of interest, click and listen. New Art Exhibit on View in the St. Johns County Administration Building

The St. Johns Cultural Council is pleased to partner with the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners in the Inaugural Art in Public Spaces exhibit located in the new Administration Building. The public is invited to view the free exhibit between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. The exhibit, expected to be the first of many at the County Administration Building, will be on display until May 8, 2009. [ More ]

Dogs Benefit from Recent Dog Days of Summer, 2008 Art Exhibit

Every dog has his day, but at the Art Advocate Gallery, they had the entire month of August. Art lovers, dog lovers, and even the dogs themselves, enjoyed the Dog Days of Summer, 2008 art exhibit hosted by the St. Johns Cultural Council. The Art Advocate Gallery was filled with dog-inspired art, canine companions, and donations during the run of the exhibit. [ More ]

World Class Sculpture Endowed to City of St. Augustine

On Monday, June 9th, 2008, the St. Augustine City Commission became the beneficiaries of a wonderful gift bestowed to the City of St. Augustine by local resident, Ms. Mardee Sue Jenrette. [ More ]
